The "Commercial Center" that
contains both of the city's bathhouses can be gotten to on foot
if you are willing to walk about a half mile. Take the Monorail
to the Sahara Hotel. The Monorail drops you off behind the
hotel.
When exiting the Monorail
turnstiles DO NOT go towards the Sahara Hotel. Walk AWAY from the
hotel. There is a escalator which takes you directly down to the
sidewalk.

Then continue following the
Monorail track around the corner as it heads towards its utility
shed [the Sahara is at the end of the line]. This will place you
on East Sahara Ave. Continue walking AWAY from the strip for
about 20 minutes until you reach the Commercial Center.
Commercial Center is on the same side of the street as the
Monorail track. Monorail is $5 for one trip or $12 for 24-hour
unlimited pass.

Notes on Las Vegas:
Unfortunately, Las Vegas does
not have a "gay ghetto" or a central area for gays to
congregate. The few bars and dance clubs it does have are widely
spread out. The closest thing is the "Commercial
Center" that contains a couple of gay bars and both of the
city's bathhouses. It is located on East Sahara Ave. about a
half mile or so behind the Sahara Hotel.
None of the big Vegas hotels,
either formally or informally, attracts a "gay crowd." But by
far the most "hip" and fashionable hotel has to be the "Hard
Rock." This is where youth and beauty stays. The studs who hang
out here may not be gay but they sure are gorgeous.
There is also a cluster of
gay business within a couple of blocks of the Hard Rock Hotel.
It is referred to as "The Fruit Loop."

8˝,
along with the Piranha Night Club is one of the
most recent clubs to open at 4633 Paradise Rd., across Naples Ave.
from its sister, Gipsy 702-791-0100.
Gipsy,
at 4605 Paradise Rd. is a dance club which is popular with the
younger crowd. It is located one block North of Tropicana on
Paradise, which is about 1 mile east of the strip. Monday nights are
Latin Nights. All nights except Wednesday and Sunday a cover charge
is collected at the door. 702-731-1919.

Wynn Hotel "Le Reve"
If you don't want to be quite
so obvious and go to one of the male strip shows I highly
recommend Le Reve as an alternative. The show is nothing but a
non-stop display of prime Grade-A beefcake. These guys never
wear anything more than a loincloth for the 90 minute gymnastic
extravaganza.
